Caorunn Gin is a scottish limited production, obtained from the infusion of five typical plants of the celtic tradition. It is produced at Balmenach Distillery in the heart of the scottish Highlands.

The distillery is located in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, and the hills of Cromdale, located behind the distillery, and provide a source of pure water, ideal for the production of distillates.In the course of the last two centuries, the art of distillation has been passed down from father to son, in fact, for the production of whisky, still respects the tradition.One of their distillers Simon Buley, being also a passionate of Gin, by the time he cultivated the idea of producing a true Gin Scottish in the distillery of malt whisky. He wanted especially to use the traditional technique of making spirits, using the source of pure water and the plants that grow in the surrounding hills. Simon, became the Gin Master, using the unique Copper Berry Chamber, a round room with a copper frame and four trays, built in 1920, and under his careful supervision, Caorunn Gin is produced in small quantities to ensure high quality.Through a slow process during which the vegetables are spread on trays, the vapors of the distillate base, obtained from wheat, pure, meet the same on the surface as large as possible, by pulling gently with aromatic oils and aromas from the berries and spices and then finish in the condenser. The distillate, aromatized, which results in a significant degree of complexity and elegance.
