Description
Inspired by the island of Capri, Caprisius is the only distillate that reflects the aromas and flavors of Capri. The particularity of this distillate is the savory note that leaves an ideal memory on the palate. The color of the inside of the bottle represents the color of the two most famous caves of Capri: the green grotto and the blue grotto. On the label, three symbols are represented:
The silver triangles (color that derives from the color of the stacks at particular times of the day) that represent the four botanicals of the earth. The waves, which represent the sea, are the true nature of the island. And finally, the sun's rays. To create Gin Caprisius, each botanical is distilled individually (Juniper, Lemon, Thyme, Marjoram). Specifically, they are distillates of botanical infusions, which are macerated for 10-15 days in hydroalcoholic solution of various grades (higher for juniper and lemon, lower for thyme and marjoram) and then distilled. Finally, the salt is dissolved in water, and the solution is added to the blend of distillates to lower the alcohol content.
To create the Gin Caprisius, the five botanicals that represent the true essence of Capri were chosen:
THE SEA
In Caprisius, 5 grams of salt per liter are used.
THE GREEN LEMON
Lemon with a light green, fine-grained peel, which over time becomes yellowish (different from the lemon of the Amalfi coast)
THE THYME
Aromatic plant used in many typical Capri dishes.
THE MAJORANA
Cultivated in Capri and then dried and then distilled.
THE PHENICIO JUNIPER
Juniper species that grows in only one area of Capri, the path of the Fortini, a path that runs along the sea from the Blue Grotto to the Punta Carena lighthouse. On the way there are the three forts that once served to defend Capri.
