He set out to change that with the leaders of the craft cocktail movement, a small group of professional bartenders, distillers and drinkers. After several versions of a recipe, he was in attempt no. 83 who cracked the code for Fords Gin. Today, the same blend of nine botanicals is billed as The Cocktail Gin. The nine botanists found in Fords Gin are from Joseph Flach & Sons Ltd. They have been importing medicinal and culinary botanicals from around the world for London's gin houses and tea companies since 1882, a time when tea houses thrived and the gin palaces.
